Well Matt what can I say, I've only rekindled my love of cards recently and have with great joy rediscovered my joy of poker. Have mainly been playing Holdem NL in a few online rooms and happend to be in Las vegas during the WSOP and saw much greatness being played prior to the tournement. Wanting to improve on my game I turned to podcasts and other web sources of infomation and came across your casts. i just wanted to tahnkyou for this very informative insight to your play which has been not only a valuable asset to my understanding of the game but also loads of fun to see.
A chip and a chair is a very fair statement as was clearly seen from your last game which was a brilliant comeback. Funny how that can happen so quickly in this game.
One final pointer. Having come back from Las Vegas and watched some games i thought I'd try a freeroll match which had 5000 players in it. I found that with patience (not my biggest virtue), playing the odds, some luck, knowing when to raise, fold or force a hand, get the pot fed etc that I had greatly improved my game. So much so that I actually made it to last table as chip leader by a 50% margin only to get cocky and sloppy and lose my lead quickly and only end up in 5th palce. But heh... 7 hours of Poker and 5th from 5000. I'm very pleased.
